Newtown Methodist Church

We are located in a quiet corner of Mountain Ash in what was once a thriving village populated mostly by mine workers. In recent years many of the local institutions have closed, but our lovely chapel – built in 1880 with donations from the miners – remains at the core of the community. Our Tuesday evening childrens’ clubs are very well attended and continue to grow. Sunday worship takes differing formats including traditional, united service, Messy Church and CYTUN (Churches Together in Wales).
