Churches and faith groups urge Government to be strong and not to fudge reform of FOBTs

Today a group of Churches and faith-based organisations have welcomed the Government’s announcement of a consultation on proposals for changes to gaming machines and social responsibility measures, but warned that the range of options presented for a maximum stake for fixed-odd betting terminals is too wide. Rev. June Vaughan MBE

Our very own Rev. June Vaughan was honoured this morning at our Aberfan church with the presentation of an MBE for lifetime services to the community. The Lord Lieutenant of Glamorgan presented the award on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.

The church was filled with June’s very proud family and friends who paid heartfelt tributes to this extraordinary lady.
